Motion Sickness, Grey Lynn

Bold, expressive, and unapologetically creative, Motion Sickness reimagines a Grey Lynn tenancy as a workplace inspired by the confidence and energy of 1970s advertising studios. Designed by Wonder Group, the project balances sculptural forms, rich materiality, and playful detailing to create an environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.

Construction took place while base-build works were still progressing, demanding careful sequencing and close collaboration between trades to maintain programme without compromising quality. Every detail was carefully resolved, allowing the architectural vision to remain intact despite the complexity of the delivery.

The completed studio has become a benchmark for contemporary workplace design, recognised with Gold at the Best Awards and as the Winner of the Interior Awards – Workspace Under 1000m².
